At Home Family Session in Los Angeles // When Jenn first reached out to me about having her family’s photos taken, it was clear to me this was going to be a very special session. I just didn’t know HOW special.

Jenn and her husband, Dari, had been fostering Juliette since she was born (using ‘she'/’her’ pronouns with permission by her parents until she tells her parents what her PPN is). And in a couple of days, her adoption papers were finally about to be finalized. To celebrate the process being completed, they wanted their photos taken for the first time together, as a family.

The day of their session, I arrived while Juliette was still asleep. Together, we quietly made our way over to her room to gently wake her up. After a quick diaper change and outfit change, it was straight to having fun!

It’s a special kind of torture connecting with so many beautiful young souls without being able to physically interact with them. Juliette was no exception. I’m so grateful I met her though - her energy was absolutely infectious. I hope you feel even a sliver of it in these photos.
